This article will discuss more than gastrointestinal problems, although in the case of the person presented here they were the key factors preventing a normal life. Here we will move away from viewing the human body as separate ‘ingredients’ and consider it as a single self-regulating system, looking at how changes in posture affect its entire functioning. For many, the idea that posture can be changed ‘merely’ by acting on the body’s dental system will seem new. And yet the case of Simone Sincini, who before beginning his ‘odyssey’ was a fairly well-known professional player for the Italian football club Civitanova, is a vivid example.

Simone Sincini had to abandon his football career because of a strange stomach problem. Doctors said he was completely unfit to play. Simone was diagnosed with idiopathic gastroparesis, intestinal obstruction and intestinal autoimmune neuropathy. In the end, the footballer was literally saved by… a ‘simple’ intraoral splint, but before that Simone had to undergo ten useless surgical operations, two of them on his stomach (gastrectomy).

Simone’s story is incredible, because his stomach stopped working altogether, but doctors could not understand why. Making many incorrect diagnoses, they merely insisted on operations, which became part of Simone’s life. The footballer also often suffered injuries to his left shoulder, left hip and knee. All these injuries occurred on the left side of his body, and only later did he realise the true reason. But at the beginning of his journey, after any physical activity the footballer felt pain throughout his body and nausea that ended in vomiting. Eventually, in 2007 in Bologna, his stomach was surgically removed. After this operation Simone Sincini weighed just 40 kg.

Simone could no longer play football or work at all. His life turned into hell. Up to 2011 Simone underwent many more operations. By 2009 his physical condition had deteriorated so much that doctors decided to prescribe psychotropic medication. This period was the worst of his life, and he decided to focus on family and faith. Simone went on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje (in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a famous destination for Catholic pilgrims from all over the world).

In 2014 unexpected changes occurred in Simone’s life, and he set off on a new ‘journey’. He knew he was crooked, and before using the Italian spine-straightening method Starecta, he was already aware of the link between his posture and his stomach illness (we have already discussed this relationship in detail using the example of Lionel Messi, who often vomits on the pitch). Previously, doctors had paid no attention to Simone’s posture and only wanted to operate on him. By chance, he joined a community of people trying experimental methods to straighten the spine and achieve symmetry biomechanically by using various splints to act on the body’s dental system. Some of these methods proved useless; others had an enormous effect. In the community, Simone met Moreno Conte and began a new path towards bodily symmetry with him.

As we have mentioned, by then Simone understood the connection between his gastrointestinal problems and the position of his body: his organs, nerves and endocrine glands were under compression from a crooked spine, which in turn twisted under the weight of a deformed skull (we examined this process in great detail in the second part of the article on how the bite affects posture, using Simone’s hormonal problems, which occurred against a background of compression of his pituitary gland by a displaced occipital bone).

Simone began balancing his body, and as a result the intraoral splint stretched the left side of his body and decompressed his atlas. The pain in his body disappeared completely. In the article mentioned above on how the bite affects posture, you can view the footballer’s LH and FSH hormone test results in high resolution. Before the Starecta method, which decompressed Simone’s occipital bone, they were 0.2 and 0 respectively; after the method they were 9.7 and 6.5.

These tests clearly demonstrate how hormones of this group affect the body’s physical condition. In addition to regulating the functions of the reproductive organs, gonadotropin also stimulates testosterone production. It hardly needs saying that Simone Sincini’s life has changed radically today: he plays football again, and all the hell he went through remains only part of his past. You can see Simone’s current condition on his Instagram page: he is now a physically healthy, handsome and active person.
